Startup Weekend: no talk, all action. Work to launch your startup in just 54 hours. Startup Weekend is a to help entrepreneurial enthusiasts turn their ideas into reality. A non-profit, grassroots organization based out of Seattle, it has an alumnus of 45,000 across 478 cities of the world. The Bengaluru ‘Maker Edition’ is the first of its kind in India. It’s an event that provides hands-on opportunity at building your dreams with the support of experienced professionals. Work to translate your virtual ideas into a representative hardware prototype using technologies such as 3D-printers, micro-controllers and other exciting tools. You will also have the opportunity to get valuable feedback from entrepreneurial experts who will validate your ideas and help you develop go-to market strategies and viable business plans. The end goal of the event is for participants to set the stage to launch their business, all this in a 54-hour long weekend! Register now!

Deepak Ravindran

Founder of Innoz

Deepak Ravindran is an Indian entrepreneur, angel investor, and best known as the founder and CEO of Innoz, an India-based mobile technology company. Deepak dropped out of Kannur University (LBS College of Engineering), Kerala with a novel idea of giving Internet to the offline world. Today, his SMS Service, (SmartSMS), allows over 120 million users around the world to gain access to various Internet functions, including basic internet searches, email, and social media networks — all through SMS. In 2013, Innoz made it to the Limca book of records for building the “largest offline search engine.”. Most recently, Asia Society announced Ravindran as one of Asia's 21 emerging leaders under 40 for 2013.

I am the director at Microsoft Ventures. I run a team of folks who invest in startups via our seed stage fund, help early-stage companies at our accelerator and engage with the startup ecosystem via our BizSpark efforts in Asia-Pacific.

I am an entrepreneur, and have founded & sold companies in the Internet and Mobile domains. I have also invested in the seed stage at 7 startups in India (over 3 years) and 27 in Silicon Valley (over 10 years).

I sold BuzzGain (Do it Yourself PR software company) to Meltwater in Jan of 2010.

I am a seasoned executive with experience at large companies including Cisco and Hewlett Packard. As an entrepreneur, I started and had successful exits with 3 companies before BuzzGain.

My experience spans 15 years in direct sales, marketing and product management and alliances / partnership in software and Internet industries. My vertical expertise spans Financial Services (Insurance and Investment banking), Telecommunications and Retail.

Ravi Trivedi

Founder of Srijan Capital

Ravi is the founder of Srijan Capital, which is focused on angel investments and hands-on incubation . He also works as a Principal at Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, an early stage technology venture capital fund in North Carolina, USA. He has been an board observer and board member for several startups in his portfolio. He is a Mentor for IIM-A's iAccelerator , and Microsoft Accelerator.

Ravi is also an hands-on Digital Marketer with experience in running online businesses. He consults with startup's on Customer Acquisition and conducts workshops on Growth Hacking.
Before Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, he worked as Equity Analyst with Bank of America, where he covered companies over $120B in market capitalization. He was part of the team that was ranked runners up in the Alpha Hedge Fund Research rankings.

Rahul Chowdhri

Director at Helion Ventures

Rahul has 13 years of experience in venture investing, strategy consulting, business planning and product management. Rahul has been with Helion since 2007. He serves on the board of YLG and helps manage investments in Hoopos, Global Talent Track and Vienova.

Prior to joining Helion, Rahul was a Group Program Manager at Microsoft. Between 2005 and early 2007, Rahul led the Microsoft Dynamics product planning and Office Live program management team. At Microsoft, Rahul also helped develop business strategy to build a web and mobile based business targeted towards Indian small businesses.

Prior to this, Rahul was an Associate Director at marketRx Inc., where he was involved in business planning, running operations as well as managing the market research product. Before joining marketRx, Rahul was a Senior Product Manager at i2 Technologies in Dallas. Between 1998 and late 2000, Rahul was a Management Consultant at Boston Consulting Group in India.

Rahul holds an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
