As Director, Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Center, Dayanand Sagar Institutions, Bangalore.
The IEDC at DSI started off as an E-cell where we had invited talks from entrepreneurs and has snowballed into an innovation and Entrepreneurship centre supported by the Govt of India. It has been an exciting journey so far, each day is different, throwing out various perspectives, challenges and opportunities at large for entrepreneurs.
I look forward to many of our DSI students becoming entrepreneurs and coming back to the campus to recruit students from their Alma Mater. DSI would very soon house a technology business incubator .. This would be a giant leap froward for our entrepreneurial initiatives.
As a Coach at Startup Weekend- Maker Edition
The three key things to launch and sustain a startup are Opportunity Identification, Confidence to win and Perseverance to never give up
The three things that I would look for when assessing the viability of a startup idea are Strength of the Business Plan, Opportunities foregone by the team to drive the business and the Team driving the business.
The window of opportunity is open for a short while !
